Everyone organizing with We are Down Home lives in the communities in which they organize. Many of us were born and raised in rural North Carolina, others of us have chosen these beautiful places as our home.
It is because we live here that we know what our home needs.
We are member-driven. Each Down Home chapter decides what community projects are most needed in their communities and which issues need to be organized around.
